Our objective is to minimize the environmental impact of our operations through sustainable farming, renewable energy adoption, waste reduction, and the responsible use of natural resources — while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety.

This policy applies to all business units of Wondernut International EPZ Ltd, including our farms, processing plants, offices, and logistics operations.
It also extends to contractors, suppliers, and third parties acting on our behalf.

3. Environmental Principles

a. Sustainable Agriculture
We employ regenerative and organic farming practices that enrich soil health, conserve water, and promote biodiversity. No harmful pesticides or chemicals are used in our orchards.

b. Resource Efficiency
We continuously improve our use of natural resources through energy-saving systems, efficient irrigation, and water recycling within our production facilities.

c. Renewable Energy & Carbon Reduction
Our facilities operate on solar power and biomass energy derived from macadamia shells — reducing carbon emissions and advancing our goal of carbon neutrality by 2030.

d. Zero Waste Commitment
We operate under a closed-loop, zero-waste system. Every part of the macadamia nut — from shell to husk — is repurposed into fuel, compost, or by-products.

e. Pollution Prevention
We prevent environmental contamination through safe waste management, emission control, and strict monitoring of effluent discharge and air quality.

f. Compliance & Certification
All operations comply with national and international environmental regulations, including EPZA, NEMA, and ISO 22000:2018 environmental standards.

This policy is overseen by Wondernut’s Environmental Management Committee, which ensures adherence to standards, tracks performance, and reports outcomes annually.
The policy is reviewed every 12 months or sooner if significant operational or regulatory changes occur.
